Can I replace the heatsinks on, for example, Redline Frostbyte memory with the heatsinks from some Redline Ridgeback memory I no longer use?
I honestly don't care at all for Frostbyte heatsinks and much prefer the performance and looks of the Ridgeback heatsinks.
Several times I have even bought another brand of memory to avoid using memory with Frostbyte style heatsinks.
I'd much rather use Mushkin memory, exclusively. Whenever possible.

Removing the heatsink voids the warranty.
Most of our performance kits are available with both styles of heatsink, so typically it is not necessary to take the chance.

If you do not have the memory I want then I won't be voiding the warranty.
Of course, I also will not be buying any memory I do not want.
I used to not have the least bit of trouble finding and buying exactly the memory I required for a build from Mushkin.
What's happened? It's like a completely different company that's using your name.
