This has been my primary drive for my dell XPS laptop. yesterday it started behaving badly.
after boot up, the drive will work properly for about :45sec, then freeze up. mouse will continue working, but the eventually everything becomes non responsive. Ctrl + Alt + Del does nothing. I removed the drive, put it in a drive dock, and connected it as a external drive to another computer. Same thing. works fine, will transfer files etc, but after about :45sec stops working, and ejects itself from "My Computer". I would love to send this somewhere and have the data recovered and cloned to another drive.
I am pretty sure it is out of warranty. I installed a new drive in the XPS, and the computer runs like a champ. I just don't want to go through the hassle of starting from scratch. so cloning the dead drive would be great. Any suggestions?

Hi,

The warranty for the Chronos drives is 3 years from date of purchase.

You may be best to just copy the data files that you can from the drive as data recovery is very expensive.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
