Doing windows updates, and then windows just stops, blue screens.
Says collecting data 0% for over an hour.
I press reset on PC.
Disk boot failure, insert system Disk.
Check Bios... SSD is not detected on SATA Port.

Power off PC, Power Back on, SSD now detected, but has gone to 2nd drive in boot priority.
Move back up, save and exit, windows boots fine.

Why is the drive just vanishing From the System?

Asus P5N Motherboard.
6gb Ram.

Mushkin MKNSSDCR240GB-7

Fresh install of windows on new PC build.
1 additional HD 1tb, on SATA port 2, Hitachi DeskStar.

CPU Intel Quad Extreme 9650 3.0ghz

Windows 8.1 64bit fresh install (not even 8.0-8.1)
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Is this a new SSD?
If it is older what firmware is on the drive?

What is the mobo, a P5N-E ???
