Hi, my Ventura Pro 64GB version USB flash drive got stuck in read-only mode a few days ago so I asked a buddy if he knew about a fix. He ran a Silicon-Power format tool and it fixed the drive but the product ID is now "silicon-power" so the drive name is "MUSHKIN silicon-power USB Device" under device manager. Is there a way I can "flash" it back to a stock firmware or rename it back to it standard name "MUSHKIN MKNUFDVP64GB USB Device"?

Thank you.

P.S. Here is the output of the tool I'm using to get the info.

Hi,

I am pretty sure the only way to get the IDs back to the way they were would be to flash the drive with the original firmware.
Unfortunately there is no firmware updater available. The only way to get it back would be to RMA the drive.

Is the drive working, the utility says 0 bytes for Windows?

The drive it self is working fine, all the space is available and no read/write errors. I will try dumping the firmware from another of the same type of flash drive that I have available or I'll guess I'll just live with it.

Thanks.
